Day Care Cook
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious snacks and cold-pressed food for children and staff ensuring all meals meet health and safety standards.
Develop and implement weekly menus that are balanced, appealing, and cater to the dietary needs of children and staff.
Purchase and manage inventory of fresh ingredients, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective food supplies.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Work closely with daycare staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring all children and staff are well-catered for.
Maintain accurate records of food inventory, meal plans, and kitchen expenses.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
- Strong culinary skills, with a focus on nutrition and healthy eating. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Passionate about cooking and nutrition, with a friendly and positive attitude. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
